JSC “Metafrax” is one of the dynamically developed chemical companies in Russia, the largest producer of methanol and its derivatives.
The range of products being produced by the Company is various: formalin technical, pentaerythritol technical, urotropine, urea formaldehyde resins, urea formaldehyde concentrate, polyamide, products of polyamide, technical sodium formiate, technical pentaerythritol filtrate. Products and feedstock produced by JSC "Metafrax" are used in the production of plastics, paints, synthetic resins and adhesive, tanning agents, insulation materials, disinfectant agents and medicines as well as in most organic synthesis processes

MARKETS AND EXPORT

Present “Metafrax” is the leader of Russian market with the world name. Share of Russian market of formaldehyde is more 70%, urea-formaldehyde concentrate is about 80%, polyamide is above 60%, urotropine is more 55%, and the single producer of pentaerythritol in Russia with the share of market more 85%.

“Metafrax” is the largest Russian exporter sharing the export of about 50%. Geography of the Company deliveries includes UK, Finland, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Brasilia, Australia and other more 20 countries.

“Metafrax” is a continuous development Company carrying out the modernization of the existing capacities and integration of the new modern production plants. “Metafrax” gets involved in the work of well-known companies such as Methanol Casale, Perstorp Formox, Dynea Chemicals, Persico, Porner Engineering, J. Matthey, KBR, to realize the investment projects on site.

2007

Production of the basic product, methanol, was increased by 22%, formaldehyde -  40% and pentaerythritol - 17% at JSC “Metafrax”;

• Commercial output  exceeded  7-billion line;
• Three significant contracts were signed – Polyamide, Urotropine and Gaseous Nitrogen plants – totally above €28 MRbls;  
• Company’s profit was increased by more 20% and constituted   566 MRbls;
• Company’s net income was increased by  44% ( totally it was 1 772 MRbls) ;
• “Social Packet” of the Company constituted  110 MRbls;
• Investments amounted more 1 BRbls;
• Taxation system was implemented using the appendices  Global-ERP, integrated with  Oracle eBusiness Suite

2006

• Commercial output  exceeded 6-billion line;  
• Methanol production plant modernization was completed, and plant capacity achieved 1 Mln T/A;.
• New Formaldehyde plant with the capacity 270,000 t/a (with 37% content of the main substance) was brought in to operation. There isn’t any equivalent either in Russia or in Europe.
• Industrial resins production in the frame of JV “Metadynea”  (founded by JSC “Metafrax” and “Dynea Chemicals” ) with the capacity of 30,000 t/a was commissioned.  
• Total volume of investments amounted circa 1 BRbls;
• Annual sales volume was increased by  17% (totally it was  6133,6 MRbls.), net income of the Company increased by 23%;
• UFC production was increased by  22%, Pentaerythritol production by  32%.

2005

Methanol production, the basic JSC “Metafrax” product, was increased by  20%, UFC production by 131% and pentaerythritol production by  12%; besides, polyamide production increased the resulted figures by 25% compared with the last years ones. 

• Commercial output exceeded 5-billion line. 
• The third urea-formaldehyde concentration plant (UFC-3) was put in to operation;  
• Industrial resin plant at ZAO “Metadynea” ( located on the territory of JSC “Metafrax”) was started up in the experimental mode;   
• Construction and installation works were completed in the Pentaerythritol works; major works were carried out in the frame of methanol plant revamp);
• Annual sales volume was increased by  35% (totally it was  5240,4 MRbls.) ;
• 10 MRbls circa were invested for charity purpose.
