"Metafrax Group" is taking part in the XII International Forum "Ecology". The event, which focuses on the implementation of the "Ecology" national project and topical issues of the transition to a "green" economy, takes place on May 24-25 in Moscow.

- "Metafrax" is focused on ESG principles and involvement in reducing the impact on nature. Creating conditions for long-term development, our company improves production and introduces modern and effective methods to reduce the scope of emissions and waste. The "Ecology" Forum contributes to strengthening the environmental agenda in the country, therefore, we take an active part in its work, - Alexander Vdovin highlighted.

The largest industry event of the year is carried out with support of the Federation Council and the State Duma of Russia, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management and other relevant ministries and departments. The program included 25 panel and working sessions, conferences and round-table discussions, bringing together more than 1 200 delegates from 80 regions of the country. As a result of the forum, a public resolution was passed, which accumulates initiatives and proposals of participants of environmental activities in order to improve legislation and state policy in the field of environmental protection.

____________

In 2020, the operating expenses of "Metafrax Chemicals" for the operation of treatment facilities reached 90 million rubles, for the protection of atmospheric air - 12 million rubles. Total operating costs for environmental protection have exceeded 126 million rubles.

The three-year program of "Metafrax", aimed at resolving ecological issues, foresees more than five billion rubles of investment. During the construction of the Ammonia-Urea-Melamine (AUM) complex in Gubakha, "Metafrax Chemicals" is erecting the largest carbon dioxide recovery plant in Russia. Putting this unit into operation will eliminate the daily release of 1120 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The CO2 emissions from production facilities will be reduced by more than half, which will be a significant contribution of the company to the control of the greenhouse effect.
